How will I know you are the right coach for me?

During our initial conversations and/or Clarity Call, together we'll identify whether this is an appropriate fit. So, before you say "Yes", you'll have a sample of what the coaching experience will be like. Until then, click on my Meet Your Coach page to learn more about me and my approach in coaching.

How do I get started in the coaching process?

If you're interested in beginning the coaching process, please click here to schedule our initial discovery session to further explore the details of the coaching relationship. This 30-minute session is complimentary, with no obligation to move forward if you don't think I'm the coach for you.

What can I expect from you as my coach?

  1. Be a partner in bringing out the best, the deepest, and the truest in you;
  2. Provide safety, encouragement and support; an environment in which you can relax and explore;
  3. Respect the confidentiality of the agreements we make;
  4. Expand your view of what's possible and promote discovery of new insights;
  5. Give you input, straight feedback, and operate as a sounding board;
  6. Listen carefully to what you say and ask questions that increase awareness; and
  7. Be an on-going resource for you in accomplishing your intentions.

What if I sign up for this and decide it is not right for me? Do you have a money back guarantee?

Yes, I call it my "Participate and Get Your Money Back" guarantee. If within the first month of our relationship you actively engage and participate fully in the coaching process, you can simply let me know this is not working for you and I will completely refund your money. Unlike most coaching programs where you show up for a one-on-one or group coaching session on a specified schedule, my coaching model is based on your specific needs - when you need them. It's up to you to decide how much, or how little, you want to engage. To honor the coaching agreement and the coaching process, if you sign up and don't utilize the opportunity for unlimited email coaching, don't do the follow up work, etc., then you won't receive a refund.

CONCIERGE COACHING MODEL

How is this coaching model different from how coaching is usually offered?

Most coaching models are based on 1:1 or group coaching, which means that your coaching support is delivered at specific days/times. This approach is a standard model in the coaching field and works well for many clients. However, because my focus is on supporting solopreneurs like you dealing with overwhelm, limiting beliefs, life/work balance issues, as well as constantly emerging and evolving challenges, waiting for up to a week or two to discuss these issues with your coach at the next scheduled one-on-one session just didn't seem particularly helpful.  In small group coaching programs, the session usually involves some sort of general coaching or facilitated discussion led by the coach, followed by time for a few participants to share and/or ask questions. In large group coaching, by necessity, there tends to be very little personalized coaching due to the sheer volume of participants, so you're lucky if you get selected to ask a question or be in the "coaching hot seat" for a few minutes.

Please don't get me wrong. I've participated in several types of coaching models and have found value in them all, so I AM NOT criticizing or diminishing the value of any of the methods that other coaches use. My point is simply that as a solopreneur myself, I know first-hand that "stuff" can come up at any time and because we're on our own with no boss or co-workers to bounce ideas off of or to brainstorm quick solutions in real time, knowing that you have support for what you need when you need it is priceless.

Why should I choose you as my coach?

While I have multiple coaching certifications and years of both formal and informal coaching experience, I'm most excited to share my 30+ years of corporate, consulting, and not-for-profit experience in the areas of strategic planning, operations, project management, process improvement, and my focus on creative and cost-effective problem-solving. I love helping solopreneurs identify and slay the limiting beliefs that may be keeping them stuck, encouraging them to align their business goals with their personal goals and values, and empowering them to imagine and manifest opportunities they didn't think were possible. At the same time, I also love using my business skills to help them think outside the box and come up with different ways to accomplish their business goals by working in the flow rather than against it. This means finding free or low-cost tools to create processes and systems that allow my clients to be more productive and efficient, uncovering and leveraging unexpected opportunities to access resources and make connections to organically grow their businesses, and helping them create HEART SMART goals and implement an actionable plan to meet and exceed them.

Do I really get UNLIMITED support?

Yes. You really can send me an email whenever you have a question, want to run an idea or a document by me, want to celebrate a success (big or small!) or just need a safe place to vent, you've got that and more through your private client portal. I respond to client messages as quickly as possible, depending on the volume of emails I have in the queue at that particular time or the complexity of your issues which may require that I spend more time on it. My goal is to respond to all client emails well within 24 hours, with the exception of weekends and holidays. It doesn't always work, but I try hard to get some R&R on those days.

When you sign up, you'll get access to a private, secure, client portal that only you and I have access to. Unlike Outlook or GMail and other email services, the client portal I use not only stores all of our email communications, but it will also send us notifications to our regular email accounts to let us know that we have a new email in our client log. No more missing an email because a whole lot more came in and ours got pushed down to the bottom of the page or to the next one. No more searching for that one email that had important information that you needed to find. In addition, any exercises, documents, and/or links to other resources, as well as your completed questionnaires and assignments (yes, there will be assignments!) will be stored in your portal. The great news is that all of our work will be conveniently stored in one location for easy access and retrieval as needed. You'll have access to this repository of all of our work for as long as you're an active client.  

If I let my membership expire because I think I'm in a good place and then something else comes up, can I come back?

Absolutely! Obviously I wouldn't want to lose you as a client because I know that being a successful solopreneur is not a destination, it's a journey.  If your business is evolving and/or expanding over time, new challenges and new opportunities will always come up. That said, if you decide to let your membership expire, for whatever reason, I'll keep the light on for you and welcome you back. Once your membership has expired, your portal will remain on the site for 12 months from your expiration date. If you decide you want to start working together again within 12 months, you'll have access to all of our previous communications and resources. If it's been longer than 12 months, I'll do my best to retrieve access to our previous work, but I can't guarantee that I'll be able to.

 

SECURITY & CONFIDENTIALITY

Is this client center and my data secured and safe?

Yes! In fact, there are 3 levels of security: provided to keep your data safe and confidential:  

  1. Username and password protected;
  2. Verisign Security Certificate protects your data on this site; 
  3. Secured pages (https://)

Is my information confidential?

Yes. This site is protected by a username/password system. You and I are the only ones that have access to your information.

 


ACCESSING THE PRIVATE CLIENT AREA

What is the "Register Now" link and when would I use it?

If you are interested in becoming a client or beginning the coaching process, you can create your own account to access the private client area.  When you "Register" I'll be notified that your account has been created and will need to activate your account. This could take up to 24 hours.

How do I access your private client area and how do I log in?

Click on the Login link in the navigational menu of the website. Then enter the username and password that has been assigned to you. Don't have login information yet?  Contact me at sydney@retirementdivas.com so I can get an account created for you.

I have a password that I use for most of my on-line accounts.  Can I change the password you assigned to me?

Yes. You will need to log in initially using the password I assigned to you. Once you log in, you can change your password at any time in your Client Profile page, that you find under the FORMS tab.

What if I forget or lose my password and login information?

If you simply forgot your password, you can still go to the Login page by clicking the Login link. Click on the blue "Forgot Password" to the right of the "Login" button and, in the new "Forgot Password" window, enter your username and click on the "Continue" button. You will receive an email shortly with your password included.

If you misplaced both your username and password, contact me at sydney@retirementdivas.com and I'll forward you your information.

I’m trying to log in, but it will not accept my username or password, what do I do?

Remember that the login information is case sensitive, so enter it exactly like it was given to you. Also, type in your login credentials and DO NOT copy/paste it, as this procedure can include empty spaces, which count in a password, thus rendering it incorrect. Again, if you don't remember your login credentials, you can contact me  at sydney@retirementdivas.com and I'll forward them to you.


FORMS, DOCUMENTS AND RESOURCES AVAILABLE

What makes up a "Welcome Packet" and what do I do with this?

A welcome packet consists of some basic forms, documents and resources that will help to get us started in the coaching process. By completing the information in the welcome packet, you are providing me with some helpful information, so that I know best how to support you, guide you and work together with you. It includes a "Client Profile" form, a "Goals" form and also a "Discovery" form.  You will also find our coaching agreement located in this packet. It is customary for you to complete these items prior to our initial coaching session together.


SCHEDULING/RESCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS

What if I need to reschedule a virtual session?

It's easy. With at least a 24-hour notice, you can reschedule any appointment by using the online calendar system. Just complete the following steps:

  1. Log into your Private Client Website Area.
  2. Click on the Calendar Menu.
  3. Locate and click on the desired block of “Available” time (or if you already have an existing appointment, click on the title of your existing appointment that you wish to reschedule)
  4. Click on the "Edit" button and change the details of the appointment to correspond with an "Available" block of time.
  5. The calendar will update itself, you'll see your new appointment reflected, and I'll receive an email notification letting me know of the change. 

 

PAYING FOR THE COACHING SERVICES

How do I easily make my payments for my coaching services?

Your coaching model is based on unlimited email coaching support within a 30-day period. When you sign up, your  monthly subscription will renew automatically every 30 days using the credit card you used when you signed up. However, rest assured that you can choose not to renew at any time and you your membership will expire at the end of your billing cycle in the Payments section of your private client portal. Please keep in mind that it takes a few days to process cancellation of ACH payments, so if you cancel near the end of your billing cycle, you may be billed for the next cycle. If that happens, send me an email at sydney@retirementdivas.com.

What are the various methods of payment I can use to pay for my coaching services?

Credit/Debit Card or PayPal. 

  • To pay by Credit Card or Pay Pal: when you receive your monthly invoice, click on the link at the bottom of the invoice to log into the private client area and click on the Payments Menu. Here you can either enter your credit card number or Pay Pal information and my system will automatically (and securely) process your payment.
  • To have your coach process your payments for you: Complete the "Credit Card Authorization" form found under the Documents section of the private client area. Once I have the authorization and billing information, I will automatically process your payments for you as outlined in the authorization form.
