Happy Monday Sydney,

Success Strategy

One of the most profound strategies I've adopted for both my business and personal life, is to embrace simplicity, in all things.

Our world is so fast-paced and the amount of noise coming from all types of external and internal sources is deafening.

There was a time when most of us thought that the more information the better. Then came the internet.

Don't get me wrong, it's wonderful to be able to have access to any piece of information, answers to any questions we can think of, and countless sources to buy things whatever we need or want.
But that boundless supply of information comes at a cost.

Overwhelm. Exhaustion. Stress. Anxity. Mental fatigue.

Distractions that cause us to lose focus.

Competing and conflicting advice from the "experts," all of whom believe their strategy is not only the best one, but the only one that'll work.

Is it any wonder why we're feeling overwhelmed?

I read this quote recently and it really resonated:

"In terms of business, simplicity is a focused agenda to eliminate unnecessary and ineffective processes; to streamline operations and focus on a company's collective energy on developing the business strategically, rather than just using growth as a measure. In essence, simplicity in business is a way of addressing the great number of complexities and changes that arise in an organization over the years. Of course, this requires leadership that believes simple works better." (Source:MobileInsight.com)

The same article offers some concepts it might be worth having us explore:
  • Outline goals and keep the list short
  • Consider the power of 6: boundaries, rests and resets, scheduling, the human dimension, the hexagon (the visual representation of 'simplicity six") - I think one's missing, but let's go with it
  • Identify your internal obstacles
  • Select a strategy and the right tools
Does any of this resonate with you? Are you focusing on simplicity for your business? for your life?

If not, let's talk about it and see if we can come up with some ways to quiet the noise.

Tools & Resources

I'm finally starting to work on our Resources Hub. Send me a message in your client log to let me know what types of resources you need.

Important Information

Our Friday check-ins start this Friday. the process is simple.

Every Friday you'll get an email reminder to submit your Friday Check-In form before Monday morning. So.... if you haven't identified your primary goal(s) for the first quarter, now's the time to do it.

Each week you'll get a quick survey that asks the same 5 questions:

  • What was one win (big or small, professional or personal) you had during the week?
  • What challenge did you face and how did you resolve it?
  • Did you achieve your top 3 goals for the week?
  • What are your top 3 goals for the week ahead?
  • How can I support you?

That's it!

On Monday I'll review your responses and follow up with you.

Have an awesome week!
